I agree with what the dude is saying. Seems like he cares about a lot of good causes. And hey! if he supports activism and helping the environment, then I’m all for what he represents. I’d love to help Jones out sometime, I think me and the group would get along nicely with the guy.
But something he said got my attention.
“No young radical is running around with pure motives... I was trying to find some kind of community, or some kind of sense of belonging, or some sense of redemption through heroic deeds”. It scared me hearing those words come out of Jones’ mouth. I mean the Seeds of Resistance are great and everything is great, feels like I'm finally doing something with my life. Fighting for something meaningful and all.. But what’s going to happen in the future? Am I really only here because I wanted a family? Some sense of a home? Would I even care about these protests if not for Char? And what about Y and Geek, even Lilith? What’s gonna happen to me if I lose all of them?..
Is this really the life for me?
