Crip Camp is wonderful dive into the importance and beauty of disability culture. It provides experiences of deep connection in a world not inclusive to the needs of the disabled. The community still finds a way thrive through activism and activly taking control of fighting for the rights they should have. We see the disability principle of interdepence and commitment to cross movement organizing during the protests where they relied on outside help from organizations like the Black Panther Party to get the resources like food they needed to keep protesting for more rights for the disabled. The film comments on the framing of the disabled as asexual beings that can't partake in relationships or intimacy. They challenge that through incorperating the experience of a disabled person with was sexually active and show disabled people in romantic relationships.
