Morris woods is everything I expected it to be and more. I decided to go in the evening on Sunday and spend thirty minutes sitting and taking in the beauty of it all, and this is exactly what I did. At the time I went to the woods, the sun had just begun to set, and the setting sun was illuminating the branches and the leaves of the tallest trees in the most picturesque ways, setting off infinite shadows of leaves on the ground. Walking a bit further, I came across a massive tree that had been uprooted and lay across the ground. I decided to spend my time there seated on that trunk. I heard several birds chirping in the distance- flying to their nests for the night, I assumed. The brightly coloured leaves in shades of red beneath my feet crunched and crackled whenever I shifted my weight. The wind was cold and refreshing. A sudden gust of wind made the leaves on the ground rise up and move along with the wind. Pulling my coat around myself tighter, I thought to myself that I should do this more often, as I could not remember a time that I felt more relaxed and at peace.
