I concentrated on the "Fostering Ecological Intelligence" section. I agreed with Bower, because it does seem that "higher thinking" excludes ecological intelligence in western society. However, it seemed odd that he would condemn the use of cell phones. Shoulding that be expanding our knowledge by interacting with other people from across cultures? And then later he says that in order to transition to his suggested ecological intelligence, we have to recognize that "everything is part of a larger system of information exchanges"—which kinda sounds like... cell phones? Like obviously there's other ways to exchange information, but, yeah.
Moreover, I was confused for a bit as to why he kept calling certain intelligences myth. Does he mean that humans have simply fabricated an "intelligence"? Or is he referring to the idea that nothing can be truly objective?
