searching for a note, finding cones instead

I stopped by my site this morning, during my walk into campus. It was terrifyingly icy getting there...



and I was disappointed not to find a note from one of you...

But the surprise was to see the tiny pine cones (no, they can't be pine cones, since this is a hemlock. hemlock cones...?






also, more ice on the way out. but that's less surprising...
