"Ghostly Matters"

...like others, i was struck by M. Carey Thomas's presence @ the entrance to the current exhibit in the Rare Book Room.
when i tried to take a photo of her portrait paired with Kris Graves' "Jessica" --

what I got (inadvertently, but oh! so aptly) was a reflection of the latter in the former:



(with perhaps a third image layered therein? is that me? or a "real" ghost????)

"ghostly matters" indeed! i suggested to monique that our exhibit might
somehow be able to exploit this notion of "haunting"...

of all from the past that's present, if not immediately visable.
of all that's present, now revising the past.
