I enjoyed this NYT piece mostly because of the navigability and how they zoomed in to show you the various parts they were concentrating on. But I was amazed to see this very unique side of Durer's work. As a big history geek I'd often studied his intricate prints (the rhino, the famous imagery of men on horses, etc.) in my classes but I'd never seen his self portraits. His attempted likeness to Jesus Christ made me realize I probably wouldn't want to get a cup of coffee with the guy...the egomaniac energy is strong...
