Recovering, this morning, from a demanding commute,



by entering Morris Woods,



re-discovering the friendship bench,


and reading the welcoming words of William James...





looking around me




in the forest primeval....




though (thinking about ticks and poison ivy)




realizing I should have covered myself...




noticing the marks of those who have been here before



feeling alone, yet accompanied...



then: returning....
