Getting Started
Hey, all. My name is Ben Zerante and I just finished my first year at Samuel B. Huey in West Philadelphia. I taught science to a few sections of 7th graders. I love traveling and exploring new areas of Philadelphia, watching movies, reading, and working out when I get the chance. I am passionate about many causes, including working to close the achievement gap in American public schools (first and foremost), conserving natural resources, human rights, and fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Reserach Foundation (especially since I'm a type I diabetic :) ). I hope that this Institute will expand some of my ways of thinking so I can in turn pass those realizations on to my students in the classroom.
