Evolution of the Brain

A discussion with Will generated an interesting thought process for me.

  • Are we the current last product of an enduring evolutionary process that seeks to combine both the cognitive unconscious (containing an unlimited set of genetic and experience “traces”) with the I-function?
  • Could each recognize and coordinate with the other in a manner that would allow expansion beyond the constraints of the species set environment?
  • Is such a process is currently in progress and what could be the predicted outcome?

Perhaps whether or not this most sophisticated link creates a better or worse situation for the species becomes the consequence of eventual collective accord.
