where one moves from and to ...

"enough time/lack of urgency" makes an interesting connection between this conversation and one going on about evolving systems in general (see "A meeting summary" at Reflections after the first year).   Going "beyond current limits" (beyond formal systems) requires not only being able to "accept what is around you as what you have to work with" but also a long term ("deep time") perspective on what one is aspiring to?  what one regards as "important"?

Its an interesting question how much "If you accept current limits ... Resist ..." is a "frog story."  My guess is that for some people, the more immediate in relation to the ideal is the more powerful unconscious driver, while for others a resistance to limits and a deep time perspective is more so.  And that this reflects in part both experiences and thought and so can change in the same person over time.
