Artist profile

Mark Price, a member of the Philadelphia based artist collective Space 1026, has self-produced two books completely silkscreen printed by hand. He was the recipient of the Xeric Grant in 2006. He has shown his prints at Foundation Gallery in Chicago, Giant Robot in San Francisco, Padlock Gallery in Philadelphia, and Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles. His prints and drawings are represented in New York City by Glowlab, a curatorial project-cum-gallery whose artists explore ideas of psychogeography, map-making, and the urban landscape. Price will have several drawings in the group exhibition Extreme Frontiers, Urban Frontiers curated by Aaron Betsky at the IVAM in Valencia, Spain opening in May 2009. Price has also shown his work as part of Space 1026 at The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, The Magic Pony in Toronto, 96 Gillespie in London, England, Lobot in Oakland, and The Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia. He lives and works in Philadelphia.
