I liked your question about

I liked your question about the cross-listing classes. I am currently taking Discrete Math here at BMC, and its cross listed as Math, Computer Science, and Philosophy. THe class is mostly filled with math and cs majors but there are a few philosophy majors (like 2-3 out of 30 so students). I really like it. Even though the cs part is difficult (I'm a math major), I remember being interested/fascinated how math played an important role in cs. It was cool to see the "and"/"or" concepts in math being used in circuit gates and computer chips. It helped me understand the "and"/"or" better because I could relate it to a real situation. And recently we've been learning about probability and combinations/permutations. We spent 2 days on gambling/poker/black jack and the famous game show where the contestant has 3 doors to choose from and after picking one, the host reveals what's behind the remaining two doors and asks the contestant if he/she wants to switch their choice to the other door. Basically, it brought the logic/philosophy side to the class. It's cool to see how these three different subjects can come together and share a middle ground.
